A few setup steps depend on outside parties and take days. Start those on day one, do the rest while you wait, and invite your congregation last — when there is something for them to open.
Day one: start the slow things
- Connect your payments. Stripe verification can take days and can ask for more documents. See Connect Stripe.
- Get a phone number, if you will send texts. US carrier registration usually takes a few business days. See Get a phone number and switch on texting.
- Choose a plan. Your first 14 days are free; after that the workspace needs a paid plan to stay active. See How pricing works.
Set up
- Organization details: check name, contact details and Campus Location under Settings. See Organization profile and basic information.
- Your people: import them from a CSV, with Email them their sign-in link now unticked for now. See Import people from a CSV.
- Your team: invite staff with Add Staff and give each the narrowest role that fits. See Built-in roles.
- Your services: add them as events. See Create an event.
Fill it with something to open
- Create your groups. See Create a group.
- Set up a giving campaign. See Create a giving campaign.
- Add a volunteer project, and a prayer request or two.
- If you will translate services, set up Live Translation and rehearse on a weekday. See Before your first translated service.
Then invite your congregation
- Tell people the email is coming — an unexpected “set your password” email looks like phishing.
- Send sign-in links to a small group first, from each person’s profile, and fix what confuses them.
- Send everyone else theirs with Send sign-in links. See Send sign-in links.
- Post your first message to the feed so the app is not empty when they arrive. See Send a message.
