An organization is your church inside SynaiConnect. Every person, group, message, event and donation belongs to exactly one, and nothing is ever visible across organizations unless you deliberately share it with a partner church through Connect.
If you signed up as the person setting up your church, this is the first step of the onboarding wizard and you do not need to go looking for it — see The onboarding wizard.
What you will be asked for
- The church’s name, as you want members to see it — required.
- Its country — required, and never guessed for you. The time zone is then filled in from the city you type.
- Optional details: denomination, main phone number, website, street address, city, and your online streaming address and platform name.
- The URL Slug — the web address used in your public links (see below).
Almost all of this is editable later in Settings — get it roughly right and move on. The one exception is the URL Slug: it becomes part of every public link you share (giving, events, sign-ups) and cannot be changed afterwards, so check it before you continue.
More than one organization
One account can belong to several organizations — useful for a network of congregations, or if you help another church administer theirs. Switch between them from Settings: once you belong to two or more, the organization switcher sits at the bottom of the Settings menu, under the sections. (If your role cannot open Settings, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar — its menu lists your Organizations.) Everything you see, from people to billing, follows the organization you have selected. Owners start another church from New organization in the same place.
