The Settings page holds the facts about your church that the rest of the product reads from. It is worth getting right early, because these details are not confined to one screen — they reach members and the public.
Where these details appear
- On your public pages: giving, events, volunteer projects and group join links.
- In the member app, as the church people see when they open it.
- In the footer of emails your church sends — the postal address there comes from Campus Location — which is also where a recipient looks to check an email is genuine.
- On your Community listing, if you have made your church discoverable to other churches.
Editing it
- Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Open Basic Information (name, phone, website, city, country) or Campus Location (the address used in email footers) and edit the fields there.
- Click Save Changes.
Settings holds these sections: Basic Information, Campus Location, Approvals and Payments — plus Billing for owners, and Profile, which holds your own account rather than the church’s. They are steps of one setup rather than unrelated settings, and you can work through them in any order.
Approvals
Approvals is worth a look early. It decides whether what members submit from the app — requests to join a group, prayer requests and their replies, volunteer project ideas, and messages in an event’s group chat — publishes straight away or waits for someone to approve or deny it. Each queue has its own switch: off, submissions publish immediately; on, they wait here, and people are waiting on the other end. Anything staff create publishes straight away.
