The first time you sign in without a church set up, you land in a short setup wizard rather than the dashboard. It exists so a new church is usable within a few minutes instead of after an afternoon of hunting through settings.
1. Organization
Create the church itself — name, contact details, location. You become its Owner the moment this step completes. See Create your organization.
2. Your plan
Pick a plan for your church’s size, and Live Translation if you want it. You can try any plan free for 14 days with no card, pay now, or click Skip for now. After 14 days your workspace needs a paid plan to stay active, and without a plan you may not be able to add or import members yet. Nothing here is permanent — the Owner can change it later in Settings → Billing. See How pricing works.
3. Your people
Import your congregation from a CSV — Download example CSV shows the format. Before you import, decide about Email them their sign-in link now: it is ticked by default and emails every person in the file an app invitation, so untick it if you are not ready for them to hear from you. You can add people one at a time later from the People page. This is the step worth doing properly — see Import people from a CSV. Then All done: click Go to dashboard.
Skipping and coming back
Your plan and Your people both have Skip for now; the Organization step has to be done. If you leave part-way, the wizard picks up where you were only in the same browser and only if you have not signed out — otherwise you go straight to the dashboard. Nothing is lost either way: plans are under Settings → Billing and people on the People page. The dashboard’s Overview tab keeps a setup checklist of what is still outstanding, and Redo onboarding in the dashboard’s options menu brings back anything you skipped.
