Donations are processed by Stripe. For them to be paid out to your church’s own bank account, your church has to connect a Stripe account and be verified — a legal requirement for handling other people’s money, not a step we invented. Until your account shows Active, donations given on your pages are collected on the platform account rather than paid to your church.
- Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Choose Payments.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- Provide your church’s legal details and bank account on Stripe’s own pages.
- Provide identity documents for the responsible person, if asked.
- Return to SynaiConnect when Stripe says you are done.
Reading the status badge
The Payments section shows where you have got to. Only one of these means donations are paid to your church:

| Not connected | Nothing has been started. Donations are collected on the platform account, not paid to your church. |
| Onboarding incomplete | You began but did not finish. Use Resume onboarding to pick up where you stopped. |
| Restricted | Stripe has your details but has not switched on donations or payouts yet — usually it is still reviewing them, sometimes it needs something more. Use Resume onboarding to see whether anything is outstanding. |
| Active | Done. Donations are paid to your church. Manage on Stripe opens your Stripe account. |
What to have ready
- Your church’s registered legal name and address — as registered, not as it appears on your signage.
- Its charity or company registration number, if it has one.
- The bank account payouts should reach.
- Identity details for the person responsible for the account.
Fees and payouts
SynaiConnect adds no fee of its own to donations. Once your account is Active, gifts are transferred to your church’s Stripe account, and Stripe pays them out to your bank on the schedule it sets for your account. What you see in SynaiConnect is what was given; your Stripe dashboard shows each payout, and a payout can cover several gifts or arrive days after them.
