Members submit prayer requests from the app, choosing who can see them — the whole church by default — and whether their name shows. Unless you turn on approvals, a member’s request goes live to that audience straight away; staff see every request in Prayer Requests in the portal. You can also enter a request yourself when someone asks in person — it posts as you, your church, a staff member or with the author hidden, not under the requester’s own name.

Working through them

  1. Open Prayer Requests in the sidebar.
  2. Read the new requests.
  3. Categorise them, so the pastoral ones can be found separately from the general ones.
  4. Follow up with the person where that is the right response.

Categories

The round + button (Add prayer request) holds the rest: Add prayer request for one you enter yourself, Manage categories, and Manage approvals — which jumps to Settings, where requests awaiting a decision are handled. Categories are how a growing list stays usable — set them up before the requests build up rather than after. They do not control who sees a request: that is the request’s Audience, and Posted as decides whether the author’s name shows.

Sharing requests with the church

Requests you create go to the Audience you choose — Publish now, Schedule for a later day, or Save as draft — and Repeat turns one into a series that reappears. To check members’ requests before anyone else sees them, turn on approvals under Manage approvals. Publish only what the person asked to have shared. When you are not certain what they wanted, ask them — it costs one message and prevents real harm.
