A campaign is something specific people can give to — the general fund, a building project, a mission trip, a disaster appeal. Donations attach to a campaign, so it is also how you tell where money came from and what it was for.

  1. Open Giving in the sidebar.
  2. Click the round + button (Campaign actions).
  3. Choose New Campaign (or jump straight to New General Fund, New Goal Campaign or New Cause Campaign).
  4. Pick the type: General Fund for always-open giving to the church, Goal Campaign for a fixed target with a progress bar, or Cause Campaign for open giving to a cause with no target.
  5. Name it as your church talks about it.
  6. Explain what the money does. This is the part that decides whether people give.
  7. For a Goal Campaign set the target; for a Goal or Cause Campaign you can add a Timeline and a category — categories are managed under Manage categories in the same + menu.
  8. Set Status to Active when it should accept gifts (new campaigns start as Draft), and under Share & collect turn on Donation Page and/or Donation Page & Landing.
  9. Save.

Before you share it

Set up payments first: until your Stripe account is Active, gifts are collected on the platform account instead of being paid to your church. See Connect Stripe. Then give it once yourself with a small amount, all the way through — it is the only way to know the whole path works.

Sharing it

Once a campaign is Active and has Donation Page or Donation Page & Landing turned on, it has a public page anyone can open without an account — see The public giving page.
