Events cover everything from a Sunday service to a weekend away. Members see them in the app, and you can give an event a public page for people who are not members at all.
- Open Events & Worship Planning in the sidebar.
- Click the round + button next to the tabs (Add event).
- Choose New event — this opens the Create Event tab rather than a pop-up, so you have room to work.
- Fill in the name, date, time and location.
- Choose a category, so it groups sensibly with similar events. Categories are managed from the same + menu, under Manage categories.
- If numbers matter, set How many can attend; once it is full, new sign-ups join a waitlist.
- Press Publish event — or, under Publishing, choose Schedule or Save as draft first if it should not appear to members yet.
Registration
Members can always tap Join event in the app, which tells you who is coming. Set How many can attend when you have a real limit — catering, transport, childcare, seats — and people beyond it join a waitlist. Leave it empty for anything anyone can simply turn up to.
The public page
An event can have a public page reached by a link, which anyone can open without an account. Turn on Landing page under Public links when you create it (or later on the event’s Share & Collect card); people can register from it while Allow registration is on. Sign-up link gives a shorter page that is just the sign-up. Either link is what you put on social media, in a newsletter or on a poster.
Planning what happens in it
An event says a thing is happening. Its Plan tab says what happens inside it, minute by minute, and who is doing each part — the run sheet your worship team works from. The people on a plan also get their own conversation, on the event’s Messages tab.
