Guests read captions in their phone’s browser. They do not need the app, an account, or anything installed — they open a link and choose their language.
- In Live Translation, open Settings, then Screens, then Phones & QR code.
- Find the Guest link · phones card. (The Console shows the same link and QR code, ready to copy mid-service.)
- Copy the link, or press Download QR.
- Give it to people — printed on a card, on the seats, or at the welcome desk.
What a guest sees
- A page of live captions, updating as people speak.
- A language chooser, so each person picks their own — one link serves everybody.
- Nothing to install, and no sign-in.
Tell people to turn their screen brightness down and their phone to silent. It is a small thing that makes the difference between captions helping the service and distracting from it.
Putting captions on a screen
That is a different link. Under Settings → Screens → Venue screens, the Overlay link · venue screens card builds a link for a projector, a video mixer or presentation software. It is added as a web item in that software, never through the software’s own captions feature. The setup for each program is in Show captions on a screen or in your video mixer.
