  1. Open Settings in the sidebar and choose Billing.
  2. Under Your plan, click Change plan. Before your first plan the button reads Choose a plan.
  3. Pick the tab you need: Synai Platform for the plan, Synai Translate for a translation block, or Bundle for both together.
  4. Click the card you want. Under the cards, Add-ons lets you add extra SMS, extra storage or extra translation hours on top.
  5. Check the summary on the right: the new total, and what is charged today.
  6. Confirm. The button says what will happen: Pay and upgrade, Schedule change, Continue to payment or Start free trial.

When you reach a limit, a message appears with an Upgrade button. It opens the same window, titled Upgrade to keep going, with the next size already picked. Nothing changes until you confirm. People who cannot manage billing are asked to tell an administrator instead.

Paying for the first time

Inside your first 14 days, Start free trial gives you the plan you picked, free, with no card, until those 14 days end. Pay now instead skips the trial. Otherwise Continue to payment opens Stripe’s secure checkout to enter a card.

You choose Yearly or Monthly at this point, and it applies to everything you hold. Your renewal date is the day you pay. The Billing page cannot switch between monthly and yearly later, so contact us if you want to change it.

Upgrading: what happens to the bill

An upgrade, or anything you add, is charged straight away to the card on file. It is prorated: you get credit for the unused part of what you had, and pay for the new size only for the rest of the current period. The exact amount is shown as Due now before you confirm, so read that line rather than estimating.

The new size applies as soon as the payment goes through. If the card is declined, nothing changes.

Downgrading or removing something

A downgrade, or removing a pack, costs nothing now and takes effect at your next renewal. Until then you keep everything you have paid for. The change shows at the top of the Billing page under Scheduled for, and Keep current plan undoes it.

  • Upgrades and downgrades are confirmed separately, because one is charged now and the other waits for renewal. Do one, then the other.
  • Extra translation hours sit on top of a translation block, so they cannot be bought, or kept, without one.
  • To stop paying for everything, use Cancel subscription rather than removing each product.
  • While a cancellation is pending, nothing can be changed. Click Reactivate subscription first.

When something is blocked

Reaching a limit stops the action that would go past it. It does not switch the feature off, and what you already have keeps working.

  • Members: staff cannot add a person, and an import is refused whole if not every row fits. People who join through the member app or an invitation are never turned away; they still count. Deleting a person frees a place straight away.
  • SMS: a text broadcast either fits in your remaining credits for everyone, or does not send at all. It never sends to half the list. Email and push notifications are never limited.
  • Media storage: new uploads are refused. Everything already uploaded stays viewable and downloadable, and deleting a file frees its space.

Cancelling

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. At the foot of Your plan, click Cancel subscription and confirm.

Everything keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, the workspace is paused until you choose a plan again, and any change you had scheduled is dropped. Nothing is deleted. Until the period ends, Reactivate subscription in the same place undoes the cancellation.
